On Sunday, December 13th, Elena participated in the Super Youth Circuit in Louisville, Kentucky. She won the gold medal in Y12 Women's Sabre, competing against some of the best fencers in the country! Congratulations, Elena! |

On Sunday, December 6th, our cadet and junior fencers competed in the JO Qualifiers in Long Beach. Natalie and Danya qualified for both Cadet and Junior in women's sabre. Jeff and Spencer D. qualified for Cadet and Junior in men's sabre. Congratulations to all of you! Also on Sunday, our youth fencers competed in the Holiday Havoc tournament in San Diego. Here are our fencers' results: Youth 12 Mixed Sabre: Mary Barnett - 1st, Kyla Obillos - 2nd, Ethan Marquez and Jared Smith tied for 3rd, Jayson Smith - 7th, Matthew Misogas - 8th. Youth 14 Mixed Sabre: Scott Marquez – 3rd, Mary Barnett – 7th, Ethan Marquez – 10th, Kyla Obillos – 11th. Partial results are posted on AskFred. Danya and Elena fenced the Youth and Junior Bay Cup in San Carlos, CA this weekend. Danya took silver in Y14 and finished 5th in Junior. Elena finished 9th in both Y12 and Y14. Congrats, girls! |
