If you’ve ever wanted a training block that feels like a real summer adventure (without sacrificing serious fencing), this is it: a focused fencing camp in Romania, hosted in the mountains of Transylvania—close to Bran Castle, the place the world loves to call Dracula’s Castle.
Dates: July 22, 2026 – August 7, 2026
Training in the Carpathians: high focus, fencing camp takes place at Cheile Grădiștei Fundata, a sports-and-training resort in the Carpathian Mountains. The venue sits at roughly ~1,300 meters altitude, which is ideal for athletes who love training in crisp mountain air and waking up ready to move.
And yes – this is very much “Dracula’s land”: Bran Castle is nearby, close enough to make it a perfect half-day cultural trip between training days.
Travel is straightforward, too. The closest airport is Brașov (GHV) at about 31 km from the resort, which makes airport pickup planning much easier than the usual “remote mountain camp” logistics.
