After a very successful collegiate fencing career, Coach Shawn is now sharing his vast knowledge of the sport with our young fencers, from beginners to advanced.
Career Highlights:
- Competed for UC San Diego (UCSD) from 2019 to 2023.
- Awarded NCAA Men’s Saber Fencer of the Year and UCSD Athlete of the Year in 2022.
- Achieved third place at the National Collegiate Championships in 2022, tying the record for the highest finish ever by a Triton at Nationals.
- Qualified for the National Collegiate Championships in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
- Champion of the West Regional Championships in 2020 and 2022, and secured a silver medal in 2023.
- Became the first-ever Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Sabre Champion in 2022.
